REVIEWS

  • “The gap between public persona and private self — and the immeasurable pain that can lie hidden there—is at the heart of (this) moving drama. Full of tart, succinct dialogue, alternating in tone between slashing wit and painful self-revelation, and is therapeutic without becoming pathetic.”

    San Francisco Examiner

  • “...carefully attuned to the subtleties of the text and subtext.”

    San Francisco Chronicle

ABOUT

Inspired by the story of brilliant cellist Jacqueline du Pre, who was at the apogee of her career in 1973 when she was stricken with multiple sclerosis. It explores the musician’s interplay with an astute psychiatrist who probes her fears about the debilitating disease.
